Experience

Per started his career as a lawyer in private practice in 1991. He was an associate with Lagerlöf and Leman for 8 years and was elected partner in 1999. At Lagerlöf & Leman’s merger with Linklaters in 2001 Per became a partner in the new firm and was a partner of Linklaters until 30 April 2015.

Per has a broad background with experience from having worked in different practice areas. As a partner of Lagerlöf & Leman and Linklaters Per concentrated his practice during 1999-2006 on real estate M&A and related work streams where Per became recognised as one of the leading lawyers on Swedish real estate transactions. Per acted for Swedish and international corporates, real estate companies and real estate funds on their acquisitions and divestments but also with regard to shareholder agreements, asset management agreements and real estate related disputes. Per was the head of Linklaters Stockholm M&A Real Estate Group during 2004-2006. His practice also included advising clients on private and public non real estate related M&A, corporate related work such as acting as chairman for shareholders meetings in private and public companies, dispute resolution and related areas of work.

In recent years Per has focused on Banking and financial regulations and he was the head of Linklaters Stockholm Banking & Finance Group during 2007-2015. Per’s experience includes leverage finance, real estate finance, investment grade and other types of corporate lending where Per has advised Swedish and international lenders and borrowers on loan agreements, intercreditor agreements and various security arrangements. Following the financial crisis in 2008 and 2009 a significant portion of Per’s work was in relation to assets in financial distress where Per has been advising on restructurings and insolvency related work. As regards financial regulations Per has advised Swedish and international clients on a wide range of issues, which in recent years have included clearing of derivatives and the implementation of EMIR (European Market Infrastructure Regulation).

In parallel with being the head of Linklaters Stockholm Banking & Finance Group Per was the national managing partner (NMP) for Linklaters’ Stockholm office during 2009-2015. In his capacity as NMP Per had the overall responsibility for the implementation of Linklaters’ strategy in the Nordic region in general and Sweden in particular.
